Start/End Time: 7:00pm, 10:00pm For the first time in our history, we’ll have a Saturday night screening. Because the evening is so unique, we have named this our Reita Franco Memorial Film. On January 14th we’ll head for Ahavas Chesed Synagogue where first, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at 6pm, catered by the Jerusalem Cafe, highlighting food from the film and featuring the famed Israeli dish, Shakshouka. A charge of $26 per person ($24 for seniors and students) for dinner reservations and film. Following the dinner at 7pm is the popular documentary, “In Search of Israeli Cuisine”, a portrait of the Israeli people told through food. The film profiles chefs, home cooks, vintners, and cheese-makers drawn from the more than 100 cultures that make up Israel today. A rich and human story of the people emerges from their food. Cut-off date for dinner reservations to caterer: Wednesday, January 4th, 2017
