Robert O. Bostwick Jr.
Executive Director of Cultural & Civic DevelopmentRobert O. Bostwick, Jr. is the Executive Director of Cultural & Civic Development for the city of Mobile which entails overseeing the following City Departments:
Historic Development, the Museum of Mobile, the Mobile Museum of Art, the Mobile Public Library System, the Mobile Film Office, Cooper Riverside Park and Mobile Landing.
Bostwick is also the contract administrator for the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center and the Mobile Civic Center.
Additionally, he is Liaison to the Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau and Fort Conde Welcome Center.
Prior to these assignments, Bostwick was Executive Assistant to Mayor Michael C. Dow.
He is also the founder and President of BayFest, Inc, Mobile's music festival.
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Bostwick attended the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of South Alabama. He has over 42 years experience in marketing, sales and management positions. Prior to joining the city of Mobile, Bostwick was Vice President and Director of Franchising for Checkers Drive-In Restaurants of North America.
He is married to the former Judy Breland. They have three sons, Brian, Robert III and Greg as well as six grandchildren, all residing in the Mobile area.
