Mobile Government

While hurricane season officially begins today, we've already had two named storms occur. Now is the time to plan and prepare in the event we experience a storm in the City of Mobile.

Families are encouraged to discuss your plan of action during a hurricane ahead of time to decide what route you will take during an evacuation and where you will travel to take shelter from the storm.

You should plan on filling prescriptions ahead of time to last at least two weeks.

Now is the time to purchase supplies you may need including store batteries, can goods and other non-perishable items that you will need after the storm strikes. Don't wait until the last minute when a storm is approaching, because items will disappear off the shelves quickly. To ensure you have enough water and food, preserve one gallon of water daily per person and enough food per person for 3 to 7 days.
