Administrative Services Committee and Entitlement Committees to meet; Council announces change of meetings date and time

Mobile, AL – The Mobile City Council’s pre-conference and regular meetings scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, has been rescheduled. Several members of the Council will be attending the Mobile Chamber of Commerce Leaders Exchange Conference with other city leaders.

Both meetings will take place Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at their normal times. The pre-conference meeting will be held in the Council conference room at 9 a.m. and will be followed by the regular meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium of Government Plaza.

The Council committee meeting dates and times are as follows:

The Administrative Services Committee will reconvene Wednesday, October 19, 2022, to continue the discussion regarding the master plan for the Mobile Civic Center. They will also review a proposal submitted by Jeff Speck of Speck & Associates LLC.

Councilman William Carroll chairs this committee and is joined by Councilman Scott Jones and Council Vice President Gina Gregory.
The Entitlement Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, to discuss the Central Business District. The meeting will focus on changing the definition of the Central Business District as it relates to the Downtown Redevelopment Authority. This committee is chaired by Councilman Cory Penn. He is joined by Councilman William Carroll and Council Vice President Gina Gregory.

Both meetings will be held in the Council’s conference room on the 9th floor at 1 p.m.
