Thursday: Official Reopening of Rickarby Park Basketball Court

Council Vice President Levon Manzie and Mayor Sandy Stimpson will hold an event this Thursday, January 11that 3:30 PM to celebrate the official reopening of the basketball court at Rickarby Park. A series of major projects including installing a brand NEW basketball court, adding a new drinking fountain and team benches at the baseball field, reroofing and repainting the existing community center building, painting the swings and installing new sidewalks for greater accessibility, were recently completed at the park.
“An investment in our parks is an investment in our community because they are the very hearts of our neighborhoods,” said Councilman Manzie. “We have made a lot of progress repairing and upgrading our parks and recreation facilities across our District and it continues to be a top priority.”
The park is located at 550 Rickarby Street and the public is invited to attend.
