Lorenza Armstrong Named
May 2019 Firefighter of the Month
MOBILE, Ala. – Fire Service Driver Lorenza Armstrong has been serving the citizens of Mobile for over 29 years and is a retired military veteran, following 26 years of service. Driver Armstrong comes to work every shift without fail and diligently performs his duties professionally with no complaints. He is very thorough in maintaining the fire truck and equipment assigned to him.
Driver Armstrong has also been a member of the Hazardous Materials Team since its inception within Mobile Fire-Rescue. He is a certified in Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting, willingly filling-in at Mobile’s airport stations when needed. Throughout his career, Driver Armstrong has been and continuous to be an avid mentor, sharing his vast knowledge and experience with all firefighters, from new recruits to seasoned veterans.
Every aspect of Driver Armstrong’s personal life and professional careers has been in service of others. Words and awards cannot adequately express the appreciation of the City of Mobile or the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department.
