1:41 p.m. -- The man was successfully rescued when he was raised by MFRD rescue technicians to a roof above on level 33. He then walked into the building through a window. He was evaluated by paramedics and was uninjured.
The man was part of a two person crew that was washing windows in the building when his defender descender got stuck.
1:31p.m. Mobile, Ala. -- Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units, including technical rescue units, were dispatched at 12:51 p.m. for a high-angle rescue near the top of the RSA tower in downtown Mobile.
The call originated with the worker, who advised his descender was stuck.
Units arrived on scene to find the worker suspended on a rope, near the 35th floor on the west side of the building.
Crews from MFRD are working to safely extricate the worker from the building at this time.
