Phase
3 - Baker Street to Canal Street

This phase will include construction activities including clearing & grubbing/erosion control, earthwork, drainage, utilities, base & pave, curb & gutter, pedestrian signals, sidewalks/ramps, landscape & signage that involve modifications and improvements to Broad Street beginning at Baker Street, south of I-10 and ending north of Canal Street.  These construction activities include 1.9 miles of the removal of the existing concrete roadway and the reconstruction of 1.4 miles of a 4-lane boulevard and 0.5 mile of three lane roadways with shared use paths along each side of the roadway, landscaped median, storm water drainage, and utility relocations.  In addition, pedestrian safety improvements will include the construction of pedestrian crosswalks, signage, and traffic signal upgrades to include pedestrian signal heads at each signalized intersection.  All proposed pedestrian improvements will adhere to all ADA requirements.
