Our Rentals and Permits division handles all of the following:

  • Athletic Field Rental/Permits
  • Community Center Rentals
  • Concession Stand Rentals
  • Park Reservations
  • Pavilion Rentals
  • Tournaments

Most of our Parks and Rec facilities are available for rent. Why not have your next birthday party, business meeting or baby shower at a park? Our large centers contain multipurpose rooms, gyms, commercial kitchens and more.

  • Create an account at 
  • Once you are logged in, click the top right for “Permit Requests,” then “Request Now.” Follow the instructions to complete a reservation request form.   
  • When you submit the form and check all the way out, Parks and Recreation Rentals Coordinator will receive your request via email.  We will then begin the approval process and contact you with any additional questions.   
  • If your event requires street closures, please contact the Mobile Police Department’s Traffic Division at 251-208-1202. 
  • If your event requires barricades, please contact Traffic Engineering at 251-208-2960. 
  • If any event includes vendors, the Revenue Department requires that those vendors have a City of Mobile Business License or Peddler’s License.  Revenue Department may be reached at 251-208-7462. 
  • Food trucks are subject to the City of Mobile food truck ordinance and must have a City of Mobile Parks and Recreation permit to operate in City parks.  (link City of Mobile ordinance and food truck permit info)

Please refer to the Athletic Field Usage Information Packet for information on background checks and insurance certificates, which MUST be submitted with your application.  PLEASE NOTE:  A few changes have been made to the Athletic Field Usage Information Packet, so review it carefully, along with the Athletic Field Conditions of Use, before applying for a permit.  


All Athletic Field Usage Applications MUST include a choice of 3 parks and MUST be sent to: (The Adobe format requires the form to be filled out on a desktop or tablet.)
