Brian G. Fike Named Firefighter of the Month for March

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department (MFRD) proudly announces that Firemedic Driver Brian G. Fike has been named as the Firefighter of the Month for March. Assigned to the Fleet & Facility office within the Logistics division, Driver Fike has consistently demonstrated his commitment to maintaining and repairing facilities, staff vehicles, small engines, hoses, and ground ladders.

Driver Fike’s recent achievements highlight his invaluable skills. He successfully resolved a complex fire phone connectivity issue that had eluded telecommunication technicians, ensuring seamless communication for the department. Additionally, he tackled a persistent hot water problem at another station, restoring hot water for showers, dishes, and other essential needs after multiple unsuccessful attempts by technicians.

Beyond these specific tasks, Driver Fike is always ready to assist with fleet maintenance and repairs, adapting to the department’s needs. His proactive approach and mechanical prowess make him an indispensable member of the team.

Driver Fike, who has been with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department since 2008, is also a hazardous materials (hazmat) technician, rescue technician, and a paramedic, and has won a Meritorious Service Award — Operation.
