8:35 a.m. Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 7:10 a.m. for a report of a residential fire in the 2700 block of Brookley Avenue in Mobile, Alabama, Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Crews arrived on scene to find flames visible from a vacant single-story, wood-frame residence. Personnel immediately began an attack on the fire and a search for any people inside the structure. Nobody was found inside.
The fire was extinguished. No one was injured in the incident. The fire is under investigation.
