Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-5806/Fax: (251) 208-5813 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org BURN BAN NOT LIFTED FOR MOBILE COUNTY Mobile Fire-Rescue Department once again is reminding residents that the burn ban placed by Alabama State Forestry Commission has NOT been lifted for Mobile County. The City of Mobile has a permanent "No-Burn Ordinance", which will never be lifted. Burning is prohibited in the City of Mobile at all times and in Mobile County while the burn ban is in affect. State Forestry did lift the burn ban for certain counties on October 12, 2004 but Mobile and Baldwin Counties were NOT included. Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is still making multiple trash fires on a daily basis. ###
