Mobile Fire-Rescue Department firefighters were dispatched for a report of a residential fire in the 2600 block of Collins Avenue in Mobile, Alabama, at 12:11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
Engine 14 arrived first on scene to find a single-story, wood frame residence with heavy fire showing. Crews knocked down the fire and did primary and secondary searches that were all clear.
Personnel remained on scene until all fire was extinguished and hotspots were cool.
Engine 14, Rescue 14, Car 80, District 1, District 3, Truck 17, Engine 21, Engine 8, Engine 12 and Rehab 1 responded to the fire.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
