Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 6:55 a.m. for a report of a residential fire in the 1300 block of Congress Street in Mobile, Alabama, Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Units arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flames visible from a one-story wood-frame residence. Two occupants had already vacated the structure.
Crews made entry into the house and extinguished the fire. No one was injured in the incident. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
