Mobile Fire-Rescue Department firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire near Davenport Avenue and Spring Hill Avenue at about 3:03 a.m. after a passerby called 911 Saturday morning, May 2425, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama.
Multiple units arrived quickly to a single-story, wood-frame vacant house with heavy flames visible across the street from Crichton Fire Station in the 2800 block of Fay Court.
Fire companies established a water supply, performed primary and secondary searches for any trapped victims, and worked for several minutes to knock down the flames.
The on-duty investigator collected evidence and surveyed the scene before cruise performed overhaul and made sure any remaining hotspots were extinguished.
The structure was unoccupied, and there were no reports of injuries. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
