Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org FIRE AT MOTHER’S FINEST CONVENIENCE STORE Mobile firefighters responded to a fire at Mother's Finest Convenience Store, located at the corner of Houston and LaSalle Streets, early Saturday morning, June 25. The fire was reported at approximately 3:47 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene reporting heavy fire coming from the one-story business. The cause of the remains under investigation at this time. No injuries were reported from the fire that caused an estimated $100 thousand in damage to the structure and its contents. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Bureau of Fire Prevention at 208-MFRD or 208-7311. Engines 8, 12, 23; truck 17; rescue 23 and District Chief Alex Trenier responded. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is investigating the cause of the fire. ###
