IRON LEFT ON CAUSES APARTMENT FIRE
Firefighters were called to respond to a fire at the Inverness Apartments, located at 6650 Cottage Hill Road, this evening, Friday, March 9. The call was received at approximately 5:59 p.m. and firefighters reported light smoke when they arrived. Once firefighter made entry into the first floor apartment they discovered the fire which had extended into the apartment above. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire however.

The fire caused an estimated $50 thousand in damage. No injuries were reported.
Engines 19, 22, 26; truck 5; rescue 22 and District Chief David Rose responded. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is investigating.
