MOBILE FIRE-RESCUE NOT SOLICITING FUNDS
Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is not calling soliciting funds for the relief effort in New York or other affected areas from Tuesday's disaster. The only fund that the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is indorsing is the non-profit fund being administered by the International Association of Firefighters and The International Association of Fire Chiefs, working with the Uniformed Firefighters Association of New York, Local 94 and the New York Uniformed Fire Officer Association, Local 854 in New York City. Officials with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department are asking people not to bring or send donations to fire stations in the City. Instead, anyone wishing to donate should send checks payable to "The New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund" to:

The fund will be used for financial assistance to support the many children; spouses and family members left behind by the firefighters and emergency medical personnel who perished in the World Trade Center tragedy. Further All donations are tax deductible through the IAFF's 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
