Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-5806/Fax: (251) 208-5813 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org MOBILE FIREFIGHTERS TO BE HONORED AT COUNCIL MEETING Members of the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department's Urban Search and Rescue Team (USAR) will be honored and recognized at the 10:30 a.m. Mobile City Council Meeting today, Tuesday, November 16, 2004. The team members who responded to Frisco City on November 1, 2004 to assist in the rescue of Da'Jour McMillian who fell into an abandoned well will be honored for their efforts during that 13-hour rescue. All team members will be presented the Meritorious Operations Award, some team members will be presented the Valor Award and Honor Award. Mobile Fire-Rescue will also present Certificates of Appreciation for others who assisted with the rescue operation. Also, Da'Jour McMillian will be presented an "Honorary Firefighter" certificate along with a few especially prepared gifts.
