2:54 p.m. — Mobile Fire-Rescue Department was dispatched at about 1:38 p.m. receiving a report of a residential fire in the 600 block of Morgan Avenue in Mobile, Alabama, Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Engine 9 arrived on scene first to find heavy flames showing from behind a two-story residence with smoke coming out of eaves and door. The yard was filled with limbs and logs from large trees that had recently been cut.
Crews entered through the front and stretched lines to the back to extinguish the fire. The house suffered heavy damage, including the collapse of part of its roof.
The fire is under control at this time and is under investigation. There are no reports of any injuries.
