FEBRUARY FIREFGHTER OF THE MONTH
Captain Debbie Bryars has been selected as Mobile Fire-Rescue Department's February Firefighter of the Month. Captain Bryars is a Training Officer assigned to the department's Training Academy.
Captain Bryars was selected because her has demonstrated outstanding professional ability and leadership qualities maintaining a superior level of technical expertise and operational proficiency. Her inquisitive nature often results in the adaptation of new areas of training for the department, such as the Spanish and Sign Language Classes she recently instituted for the department.
Captain Bryars consistently performs her duties with skill, eagerness and ingenuity. She is extremely effective in her communication skills and with that, she has been very effective in guiding others through difficult areas of study. Her personality and willingness to assist others in any capacity have made her a valuable part of our training team.
Captain Bryars was presented the honor on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at the Tiny Diny Restaurant by The Pleasant Valley Optimist Club sponsors the monthly ceremony.
