Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-5806/Fax: (251) 208-5813 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO SMALL AMMONIA LEAK Mobile firefighters along with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department Haz Mat team responded to a small Ammonia leak at Diversified Foods, located on Hamilton Blvd, this Monday morning, December 23, 2002. The call was received at approximately 7:12 a.m. after employees discovered what appeared to be a break-in. The leak appeared to be coming from a valve in the refrigeration unit. Employees had already evacuated the warehouse and secured the leak upon firefighters arrival. The leak was confined to the inside of the warehouse and no injuries were reported. Engine 7, 15, Haz Mat 15, truck 10, rescue 7 and District 2 Chief responded.
