7:41 p.m. — Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched for a report of a residential fire in the 1400 block of Gloriadale Road in Mobile, Alabama, at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Personnel quickly arrived on scene and reported flames from the roof of a one-story brick residence. They made entry into the home to find and extinguish a fire inside.
A primary and secondary search were completed to ensure that no one was inside. No people were found. A cat was rescued.
After the fire was controlled, crews began salvage and overhaul operations to protect undamaged property, and to ensure that all fire was extinguished.
The fire is under investigation at this time. No injuries were reported.
