INTENTIONAL FIRE ON MLK, JR AVENUE
A house fire reported at approximately 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, November 8 appears to have been intentionally set. Firefighters arrived on the scene reporting heavy smoke coming from the attic of the single story, wood frame structure.
After firefighters extinguished the blaze, Mobile Fire Investigators found evidence that indicated the fire had been intentionally set.
Investigators were told that the house had been vacant since last Friday. The investigation is ongoing.
No injuries were reported and a damage estimate is not available at this time.
Person or persons responsible for setting the fire will be charged with Arson 2nd Degree because the structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

Engines 8, 9, 14; truck 4; rescue 14 and District Chief John Young responded. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is conducting the investigation.
