JULY FIREFIGHTER OF THE MONTH
The Pleasant Valley Optimist Club sponsored Firefighter of the Month is Brent C. Jungenberg, 37. Jungenberg was presented with the honor on Wednesday morning, July 28, 2004 at the Tiny Diny Restaurant. Jungenberg was nominated by his former Supervisor, Captain Sam Downing. Downing praised Jungenberg as being one of the best members he has ever had on his crew and worked with. He went on to say that Brent is never idle around the station or on incidents. He is eager to join in training exercises to better himself on the job and is willing to advance himself by seeking extra department training and classes. Jungenberg is also active in the reserves where he maintains his skill levels and uses his advanced knowledge of emergency services to the betterment of his job on the department. He sets a good example for newer members of the department as well as more senior members of the department everyday he is here.
