Mobile Fire Chief Elected to Office

Dean has been elected by his peers to serve as 1st Vice President of the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs (SEAFC). The election was held at the association's 74th annual conference in Charleston, South Carolina. Dean will serve as 1st Vice President for a term of one (1) year. His responsibilities will include assisting the President in every way possible to fulfill the President's duties. In the absence or inability of the President to perform all duties the 1st Vice President would assume those duties. Dean has been serving as 2nd Vice President for the past year. Dean has been with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department for approximately 27 years and has been Chief of the department since June of 1999. He has a BPS degree in Fire Administration from Memphis State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Alabama. The mission of SEAPAC is to provide leadership, education, information, and networking to career and volunteer chief fire officers and managers of Emergency Service Organizations throughout the southeast. SEAPAC is composed of members residing in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs is a division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
