MOBILE FIRE CHIEF ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT
Stephen A Dean, Fire Chief of Mobile Fire-Rescue Department was elected 2nd Vice President for the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs (SEAFC) during their Annual conference July 8-12, 2001. The 73rd annual conference was held recently by the SEAFC in Nashville, Tennessee. Dean was elected among his peers who are members of the SEAFC and will serve a one year term as 2nd Vice President at which time he will move up to 1st Vice President and then serve as President. Dean has been with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department for approximately 26 years and has been Chief of the department since June of 1999. He has a BPS degree in Fire Administration from Memphis State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Alabama. The SEAFC is a division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and is comprised of fire departments in the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, West Virginia.
