Dean will hold promotion ceremonies for two firefighters within the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department. Captain Don C Meyers, 48 and a 27-year veteran, will be promoted to the position of District Fire Chief. Dean will also promote Firefighter-Driver Wayne E. Schwartz, 51, a 24-year veteran to the position of Fire Inspector. Also receiving a promotion is Public Safety Dispatcher Robin R. Ciriello to the position of PSD II. Chief Meyers will be assigned as a shift supervisor in the 4th District, whose headquarters is located on Azalea Road. Inspector Schwartz will be assigned to the Bureau of Fire Prevention, which is responsible for enforcing the fire codes in Mobile as well as the investigation of fires that occur. Ciriello is assigned to the Communications Division as a Dispatcher and will now serve as a shift Supervisor. ###
