Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (334) 208-5806/Fax: (334) 208-5813 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org MOBILE FIRE-RESCUE EXPO 2001 Mobile Fire-Rescue Department’s EXPO 2001 is scheduled to take place at the Greater Gulf State Fair Grounds on Saturday, May 5, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission and parking is FREE for everyone. Average attendance for this event has been between 40-45 thousand each year. This is Mobile Fire-Rescue Department’s 6th Annual Expo and is designed as a free family day at the Fairgrounds. Some of the scheduled events that visitors can see include firefighters battling a real house fire, vehicle extrication rescues, High Angle Rescues, health and safety seminars, CPR Reenactments, Airport Rescue truck Demonstrations. Children of all ages will enjoy the Children’s activity area, which includes the Children’s Fire Safety House, Fire Truck Rides and pictures made on a fire truck. This year the Mobile County Volunteer Firefighters Association will also hold their competition. There will be food, fun, and entertainment for the entire family plus much, much more.
