Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (334) 208-5806/Fax: (334) 208-5813 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org MOBILE FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO APARTMENT FIRE Firefighters from Mobile Fire-Rescue responded to an apartment fire located at 408 B Crenshaw Street early Monday morning, April 16, 2001. The fire was reported at approximately 1:50 a.m. with firefighters arriving at approximately 1:55 a.m. reporting fire showing from the two-story, wood frame structure. The fire appears to have originated in the bedroom of apartment B and spread throughout the apartment. There was some smoke damage to apartments A and D as well. The occupant of apartment B is listed as Rodney Braggs. The cause of the fire that caused an estimated $10 thousand in damage remains under investigation. No injuries were reported. Engines 9, 12, 23; truck 17; rescue 3 and Acting District 4 Chief Captain Ronnie Musgrove responded. ###
