Overnight Residential Fire on Madar Street

Mobile, AL – Mobile Fire-Rescue Department companies were dispatched to the 1200 block of Madar Street at approximately 1:40 a.m. Smoke and flames were visible from the residential structure upon fire department arrival. Fire Investigators advised that the accidental fire, stemming from a window air-conditioning unit, was contained to the kitchen/bedroom area of the home. The occupancy sustained moderate damage, and no one was injured due to the fire.
