Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org VICTIM PULLED FROM UNION AVENUE HOUSE FIRE Firefighters responded to a house fire on Union Ave Tuesday evening December 3. The call was received at approximately 10:16 p.m. When firefighters arrived they reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the single story residence. Once firefighters made entry they found a male occupant in his 50's lying on the floor beside a bed in a back bedroom. The victim was pulled out of the structure and CPR was immediately initiated. He was transported to USAMC in critical condition. Mobile Fire Investigators are on the scene working to determine a cause of the fire. Engines 10, 12, 15; truck 17; rescue 23, 18 and Acting District Chief Captain Bryan Lee responded to the call. ###
