Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 2:27 p.m. for a report of a residential fire in the 2400 block of Osage Street in Mobile, Alabama, Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Units arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the rear of a single-story, wood-frame residence. Crews used water to extinguish a small fire in a back bedroom and searched for any victims inside, with none found. Firefighters checked to make fire had not extended into the walls or attic and remained on scene to make sure the fire was completely extinguished.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
