As Director, Marc oversees five major sub-departments including:  Fleet Management, Sanitation, Urban Forestry, Public Services Maintenance, and Administration. With over 250 employees and an operating budget of $25M, these departments manage and maintain all essential services for the City of Mobile and its 200,000 residents.  

Prior to assuming the role as Director, Marc served in the United States Air Force as a Deputy Commander for Maintenance, directing the production of a 1500 member aircraft maintenance organization to maintain a 33 aircraft, $19.8B fleet.  He additionally managed a $125M budget, $222M of equipment assets, and over 85 facilities.  In March of 2022 Marc retired with over 32 years of service to our country.  During this time, in additional to supporting his workforce, Marc led large scale projects to include:  The Congressionally mandated divestiture of the B-1 bomber fleet, restoring fleet wide ejection system integrity after discovery of a major defect, and managing a major upgrade of 33 large aircraft with zero loss of flying.

Some of Marc’s other key experiences include:  Component Maintenance Squadron Commander, Abilene TX; Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron Commander, Al Udeid, Qatar, Chief of Air Force Combat Support Doctrine, Montgomery AL; Afghan Air Force Mentor and Advisor, Kabul Afghanistan; Academic instructor of leadership and history for Air University’s Master’s degree program; and numerous additional leadership and deployed positions around the world.

Marc is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelors in Professional Aeronautics.  He is also a graduate of Wilmington University with a Master’s of Science in Management and holds a second Masters in Military Operational Art and Science through Air University.  Marc is married to his lovely wife Shannon and together have raised their only son Tyler who currently attends the University of South Alabama.
