Mobile Police Department acted on an arrest warrant issued by Mobile Fire-Rescue Department investigators and arrested Jaymar Pettus Saturday, April 13, 2024. Pettus has been charged with arson in the second degree.
The arrest was made in connection with a commercial building fire at 908 McRae Avenue in the early morning hours of April 2. Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units responded on that date and quickly extinguished a fire that was set on a back porch area that damaged the exterior of the building, stopping it before it spread to the interior.
