The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department proudly announces Firefighter Caleb Watson as the May 2023 Firefighter of the Month. Firefighter Watson began his fire service career in November 2018. He is currently assigned to the MFRD Communications Division, serving in the capacity of Support Technician.
Firefighter Watson’s performance is invaluable in keeping the Department operational, particularly with regard to tech support and communications. Watson regularly serves as an MFRD liaison, coordinating with several important agencies, including the Mobile County Communications District, City of Mobile IT, and Mobile County Emergency Management Agency, to name a few.
Watson is responsible for maintaining several key systems for the Department, including computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and automated fire station alerting systems. By placing his job and duties at the forefront each day, Watson’s commitment and passion ensure that the Department is up-to-date with the latest system upgrades, operating platforms, and communications hardware.
Through Firefighter Watson’s steadfast stewardship, the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is able to continue providing quality service to the citizens of Mobile.
