Residential Fire
MOBILE, Ala. – At approximately 4:39 hours, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department companies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Persimmon Street for reports of a home on fire in the area. Upon arrival on scene, fire personnel confirmed flames visible from the front porch of a single-story, wood-framed residence.
The homeowner advised that she was awakened by the sounds of blaring smoke alarms/detectors. At which point, she immediately grabbed her children and safely exited the home.
Fire scene operations were immediately established, as suppression teams began their initial fire attack. All signs of flames were confirmed extinguished and under control at approximately 4:59 hours.
There were no injuries sustained from the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
