Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org UPDATE ON YESTER OAKS APARTMENTS FIRE Mobile Fire-Rescue responded to a 2 alarm fire at Yesterday Oaks Apartments on Saturday, May 16 at around 2:48 p.m. The fire appears to have originated in the attic area and spread through the roof. Four units were affected with varying degrees of damage from light to heavy damage, primarily smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is undetermined however; fire investigators have been able rule out lightning, based on witness statements, weather data and physical damage. The estimated damage to the structure and contents is $200 thousand. ###
