Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 3:06 a.m. for a report of residential fire in the 1100 block of St. Madar Street in Mobile, Alabama, Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
Units arrived on scene to find flames showing from windows in the back of one unit of a single-story, wood-frame duplex. Occupants had evacuated the structure.
Crews extinguished the fire, which was contained to one unit of the duplex, with the other unit only suffering smoke damage.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation at this time.
