Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 7:17 p.m. for a report of a residential fire in the 5600 block of Vista Bonita Drive South in Mobile, Alabama, Sunday, February 25, 2024.
Units arrived to find smoke and flames visible from the roof of a single-story residence, with a burning car in front. Firefighters searched for victims inside and worked to extinguish the fire.
During searches, firefighters found 7 deceased dogs inside the residence. No other injuries were reported. The house is expected to be a total loss. The fire is under investigation at this time.
