Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-7163/Cell: (251) 605-0984 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org ARSON SUSPECT ARRESTED Mobile Fire-Rescue Investigators have arrested and charged Alex Williams, 19, with Arson 2nd and Burglary 3rd in connection with a house fire located at 909 Minor Street, which occurred on Friday, December 1 at approximately 9:48 a.m. When firefighters arrived they reported heavy smoke and flames showing from rear of the structure. Investigators later determined that the fire had been set. Williams was apprehended after a short foot pursuit with fire and police. He later confessed to setting the fire. He is also a suspect in several other burglaries in the Toulminville area. Fire investigators are still searching for his accomplice, Calender Stokes, B/F, 36, 4’5”, 195 lbs. Anyone with any information regarding Stokes is asked to call the Mobile Fire-Rescue Arson Unit at 251-402-4407. ###
