The Azalea City Golf Course is responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining and managing the City's municipal golf course by providing a physically attractive and challenging golf recreational facility and related services for citizens of all ages, while operating on a self-sustaining basis.

The Azalea City Golf Course was opened in 1957, hosting PGA events with many of the current Senior PGA players participating. During 1998 all eighteen greens were redesigned to an average of 5,500 sq. ft. per green. Greens were planted with Champion Bermuda, a hybrid for the Southern climate that putts like Bentgrass. The course is a favorite due to affordable rates, ""forgiving"" fairways, flat front nine and rolling back nine. Driving range, two putting greens, chipping green with bunker and grill available. Course open to the public 364 days a year. Tee times required, call (251) 342-4221.
