MOBILE, AL – On August 29, the Mobile City Council authorized the expenditure of over $12.2 million in PAYGO funds to complete street resurfacing projects throughout the city.

The Council granted authorization for an amended contract with Volkert & Associates to provide professional program management services for the redevelopment of the Mobile Civic Center. The amended contract incorporated a clause designating a minimum of 15% from the total of $945,259.47 to be reserved for businesses falling under the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) classification. The funding for this project phase had been previously allocated in May of the current year.
