Council approves appointment of three Municipal Judges

MOBILE, AL. – At Tuesday’s meeting, the Mobile City Council approved a resolution to appoint three part-time Municipal Court judges.
Newcomers Freddie Stokes and R. Jeffrey Perloff will join current part-time Judge Bucky Thomas, who was reappointed, on the bench.
After Presiding Judge Holmes Whiddon expressed concerns regarding the growing dockets late last year, the Council introduced a resolution that increased the number of municipal judges as well as raised their salaries.
