Finance Committee to Meet on Proposed Changes to Lessors Tax on Residential Buildings

The Finance Committee will meet next Tuesday, February 23rd immediately following the Council meeting to discuss a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 34 of the City Code to include real property business privilege tax applicable to lessors of residential buildings and dwellings to the schedule of licenses. Councilman Joel Daves is chair of the committee and is joined on it by Councilmen Fred Richardson and John Williams. A copy of this proposed ordinance can be found HERE.
