MOBILE, AL – The Mobile City Council has approved a purchase order of more than $1.2 million to Stivers Ford Lincoln for the acquisition of 26 Ford F-150 police package trucks. These vehicles will play a vital role in enhancing the capabilities of our law enforcement agencies.
The Council has authorized an amendment to an agreement with Goodwyn Mills Cawood, Inc. which will increase the agreement by $267,455.37. The amendment pertains to the design and construction observation services for the Mobile Police Department Mounted Unit, underlining the Council’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in our public safety initiatives.
In a move to further strengthen our community, the Council approved the submission of a $500,000 grant application to the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. This application is in line with the requirements of the Land and Water Conservation Fund and necessitates a 50% local match, reflecting our dedication to improving our local environment and recreational resources.
