Tomorrow: Ad Hoc Economic Development Committee to Meet

Councilwoman Gina Gregory announced today that an ad hoc Economic Development Committee will meet tomorrow, June 26th at 3:00 PM in the Council Conference Room on the 9th Floor of the South Tower in Government Plaza.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed city support of the University of South Alabama stadium project. Councilmen Fred Richardson and John Williams will also serve on the ad hoc committee.
Prior to this meeting, the Public Service Committee will meet at 2:00 PM to discuss proposed changes to Ordinance 52-015 which would amend Chapter 52 of the Mobile City Code pertaining to boarding standards of vacant structures. The changes are regarding the boarding method and material required for all openings on vacant structures. Members of that committee include: Fred Richardson – Chairman, Joel Daves and C.J. Small.
