Upcoming Committee Meetings

Mobile, AL – The Mobile City Council will hold committee meetings in the next few weeks on key city issues.

Tuesday, March 29
The Rules Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. The meeting is to discuss modifications to the rules of procedure for conducting the council’s business. The group will also discuss any procedural changes that are necessary to direct debate to agenda related items and to further define when it is appropriate to receive public comment. In addition to Councilman Ben Reynolds, who is chair of the committee, Council Vice President Gina Gregory and Councilman Cory Penn serve as members. 

Tuesday, April 5  
The Finance Committee will meet at 1:00 p.m. The committee will confer with the Finance Director concerning the Fiscal Year 2023 budget process and the City’s long-term debt. Councilman Joel Daves chairs the committee and is joined on it by Councilman William Carroll and Councilman Ben Reynolds. 

Tuesday, April 5  
The Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) Committee will meet immediately following the Finance Committee. The committee will receive information from the finance department regarding past expenditures related to the CIP ordinance. They will also discuss increasing the amount of CIP funds per district. Councilman Ben Reynolds chairs this committee and is joined by Councilman Scott Jones and Council President C.J. Small.  

These meetings are for Council discussion only and will be held in the Council’s conference room on the 9th floor.  No public comment will be taken.
