Upcoming Council Committee Meetings

Mobile, AL – The City Council has announced upcoming meetings of several committees to take up key issues, including the City’s Fiscal Year 2021 Budget. These meetings will be held virtually and can be viewed at cityofmobile.org/livestream.
Next Monday, August 17th at 3:00 p.m., the Council Capital Improvement Program Committeewill meet to discuss the status of the program. Council Vice President C.J. Small, who is chair of the committee, is joined on it by Councilmen Fred Richardson and John Williams.
On Tuesday, August 18th at 1:30 p.m. the Rules Committee will meet to discuss the council’s meeting rules with regard to public and council members time for public address and deliberation. Councilman John Williams, who chairs the committee, is joined on it by Councilwoman Bess Rich and Councilman Small.
At 2:00 p.m., the Public Safety Committee will meet to discuss proposed changes to theordinance creating the Police Citizens Advisory Committee. Councilman Fred Richardson, who chairs the committee, is joined on it by Councilwoman Gina Gregory and Councilman John Williams.
The following week, on Tuesday, August 25th at 2:00 p.m., the Finance Committee will meet to review the proposed FY2021 budget. Councilman Joel Daves is chair of the committee and is joined on it by Councilmen Fred Richardson and John Williams.
The Council will then hold a Public Hearing on the proposed budget at the regular meeting of the Council on Tuesday, September 1st at 10:30 a.m.
