Mobile, Ala. — The City of Mobile will host community meetings in the newly annexed areas of West Mobile next week to answer questions from residents and discuss the rollout of new city services.
These meetings will occur at Creekwood Church of Christ (1901 Schillinger Road) on Tuesday, September 5 and Thursday, September 7. Both sessions will begin at 5:15 p.m. and will be led by Mayor Sandy Stimpson, members of his administration and other City of Mobile leaders.
While public safety services have already been fully deployed in the newly annexed areas, other City of Mobile services, like trash and garbage collection, will start on October 1, 2023. Residents in the areas that joined the City of Mobile in July will soon be receiving garbage carts and information about collection routes and rules. Staff members will be provided additional information about those services and more during next week’s meetings at Creekside Church of Christ. If your area was recently annexed into the City of Mobile, attending one of these upcoming meetings would be helpful.
